Supply Chain Management Trainer

 

 

Title: Supply Chain Management Trainer FLSA: CONTRACTOR
Department: Workforce Development

 

Primary Function

Under the direction of the Vice-President of Workforce Development, the Supply Chain Management Trainer is responsible for delivering supply chain training that results in obtaining an Industry-Recognized Credential, maintaining accurate records of all activity, and fostering an encouraging learning environment.

 

Responsibilities.

  • Design courses to meet learning outcomes, and promote participants’ active participation in their own learning.
  • Create an effective learning environment that fosters participants’ intellectual curiosity that helps participants to problem solve using discipline-specific thinking strategies.
  • Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to the attainment of the participant learning outcomes.
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, i.e., role-playing, simulations, team exercise, group discussions, and videos
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, class completions, evaluations, and coaching sessions in the appropriate systems
  • Obtain and organize procedure manuals, guides, or course materials such as handouts or visual materials
  • Maintain all classroom technology and equipment including, but not limited to, computers, projectors, screens, etc.

Required Skills.

  • Ability to train, coach, and evaluate knowledge and skills
  • Strong presentation and classroom instruction, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to maintain an appropriate professional presence
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Business Administration;
  • Leveraging, Integrating, Networking, and Coordinating Supplies (LINCS) Certification or Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Certification

Preferred Skills

  • Two years providing classroom instruction

Interaction:

This position requires the individual to work closely with the Workforce Development staff. The trainer must possess great attention to detail and have strong organizational skills. This individual must understand, maintain, and uphold the mission and vision of the Chicago Urban League.
