The 2024-2025 scholarship application is now open. The application will close on March 31, 2024.

The Chicago Urban League annually awards scholarships to provide financial assistance for college students through a competitive application process. The scholarship is open to high school seniors entering an institution of higher learning and returning student up to 21 years old continuing their post- secondary education. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $10,000.

To qualify for a Chicago Urban League scholarship, you must:

• Be a permanent resident of the Chicagoland area

• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)

• Demonstrate financial need

• Meet student status requirements for specific awards:

  • Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in a degree-granting program or

  • Expect to graduate this year from high school and enroll in a full-time undergraduate degree-granting program or

  • Completing a two-year college program and expecting to enroll in a degree-granting program at a four-year institution

  • Must be willing to accept an internship or mentorship, if selected

  • Must be available to attend the Scholarship Luncheon on June 20, 2024

  • Must be available to attend the Trunk celebration activities on June 27, 2024
